Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Business Fibre (FTTB)

Fibre to the Business (FTTB) is a dedicated fibre connection installed directly into your office or commercial premises. Unlike residential fibre which shares infrastructure, FTTB solutions can include dedicated bandwidth with SLA-backed uptime guarantees — ensuring your business-critical applications run without interruption.

Business fibre (FTTB) typically includes higher speeds, symmetrical upload and download speeds (same upload as download), higher SLA uptime guarantees (often 99.9%), priority technical support, and static IP addresses. It is designed for businesses that depend on connectivity for operations, cloud tools, VoIP calls, and remote teams.

Yes — most of our business fibre packages include a static IP address, which is essential for businesses hosting servers, running VPNs, or needing remote access to office systems. Please confirm static IP availability when placing your order and we will configure it for you.

We begin with a site survey to assess your premises and determine the best entry point for the fibre cable. Our technicians then install the ONT, run internal cabling to your server room or router location, and configure all network equipment. Business installations typically take 7–14 business days. We minimise disruption and can schedule work outside business hours if needed.

Business fibre plans come with priority support. In the event of an outage, contact our support team immediately. We will diagnose the issue remotely first and dispatch a technician if needed. For critical businesses, we also offer LTE backup solutions that automatically activate during a fibre outage, keeping you connected at all times.

Get a tailored FTTB solution for your business. Our sales team will find the perfect speed and contract option to match your operations.
